​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Demand Planner on behalf of our client based in Salisbury, North Carolina. Candidates must be a commutable distance to Salisbury as this role is entirely office based. This is a full time staff position.

The Role

  • Management of the monthly sales forecast for the business for input to the S&OP process and ensure internal functions are aware of forecast sales demands and commitment is achieved to deliver

  • Provide pricing analysis to Demand and Pricing, Sales and Business managers to support commercial decision making

  • Lead monthly demand planning reviews including Sales Director Reviews, and provide primary support for the Demand Review and S&OP meetings

  • Maintain appropriate understanding of product lines, plant capacities, raw material supply situation so that updates can be provided to the sales teams

  • Coordinate with key players in the Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, and other key business areas to drive overall customer satisfaction and success

  • Assist the commercial team with product availability requests including inventory availability and any necessary sales controls

  • Adequately and effectively share and present forecast data and assumptions with Operations

  • Generate miscellaneous reports to assist the business in making decisions

  • Forecasting months in advance in relation to Demand Planning, daily and weekly interaction with sales Managers to talk about forecasting of products.

  • Must be able to take information in and push the sales team to get info from them

  • Weekly meetings

  • Use of power bi or python

  • Once the candidate analyses the data they would then pass this onto the sales team, managers etc.

  • This role would be covering America 85% - North America is America and Canada . 15% is Latin and south America – Brazil, Cuba, Mexico

The Candidate

  • Ideally degree level education and IT proficiency

  • Preferred 3 years in a Demand Planning or Supply Chain type role (Minimum 1 year)

  • Ability to work independently; A self-starter and use own initiative

  • Experience with SAP, AX, or a similar ERP system

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of standard S&OP process steps and activities

  • APICS, CSCMP, or related certification a plus

  • Able to work in a fast-paced and busy environment

  • Data Analysis / Data modelling experience

  • Computer Literate / SAP

  • Good Excel experience

  • MRP – Materials Requirements Planning
