​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced EC&I Engineer on behalf of our client based in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a full time permanent role.

The Opportunity

Due to the promotion of the previous role holder, our client is recruiting an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join their Corporate Operations and Maintenance Support Team. In this fantastic opportunity you’ll be completing a range of key engineering support, improvement, change and compliance responsibilities at sites around our expanding business in the gas, power, chemical and fuel industries. Ideally, you’ll be based in the north-east/Yorkshire region and are happy to travel, with around 80% of your time at sites around the UK. This could be a couple of days, weeks, or months, onsite, or working remotely, delivering a mix of hands on, projects, outages, role cover, advising, planning, and researching that will see you use and continually develop your engineering skills, knowledge, and experience.

To be successful, you’re an Engineer looking to broaden your experience, or a Lead Technician or time served graduate, looking for your next step. You’re able to quickly engage and develop positive working relationships, adapting, contributing, and working effectively with site teams. You’re also committed to developing yourself and delivering engineering and business improvements and innovation and have the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

Minimum Requirements

  • HNC/ equivalent in instrumentation and control or a electrical and electronic engineering subject.

  • Have an advanced apprenticeship in instrumentation or electrical engineering and/or maintenance.

  • Successful electrical, control or instrumentation contributions in a 24/7 environment including:

  • Maintenance or fault finding, Contract management, Outage planning/management, Contract management

  • Engineering & Operational interface, Developing, implementing & evaluating improvements & mods.

  • Management of change application, Managing budgets and projects.

  • Knowledge of: Safe Systems of Work; CMMS; Full project lifecycle; Electricity at Work Regs.

  • Reading & interpreting design specifications & technical drawings.
