Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. This is a full time permanent role.
Reporting to the Preparation Team Leader the successful candidate will define work scopes, create work orders, estimate manhours and add appropriate resources, materials and services to enable work to be completed in accordance with standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Details/duties:
Responsible for timely preparation of work orders based on criticality and priority provide by CMMS system (UNISOL) and Prep Team Lead
Involved in the day to day and long term platform support
If required, provide all the relevant information to the Client to follow a Management Of Change
Be able to present your preparation project to the budget holder for validation
Occasionally visit the platform to familiarise with the team and site
Provide sufficient information on the WO to allow the offshore team to prepare permits in a efficient way
Proficient at using CMMS and have a good level of ability to investigate and interrogate Work Order
Arrange the mobilisation of Electrical vendors: define Scope of Work, review and challenge the quotes, plan the mobilisation, follow up on material delivery
Liaise with Scheduler to prioritise plans depending on work order status and criticality. Ensure not to create backlog
Review existing backlog and identify any work orders at status PROK-AWSC that can be inputted into the scheduled weekly plan for execution
Review and amend the equipment maintenance plan when required
Ensure deferral is raised if Work Order going beyond LAFD
Provide cost saving initiatives
Order materials and track materials to ensure that a timely delivery is achieved. Liaise with buyer, stock coordinator and material controller throughout material ordering and delivery process
Request new SAP component numbers using the NMR form and process
Arranging scaffold to be erected in advance of scheduled work being executed
Arranging lifting plan to be prepared in advance of schedule work being executed
Control of sited materials in the event of work being postponed
Qualifications/Experience required:
Proven oil & gas industry experience in a similar position and electrical background
Electrical HND or practical site experience
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment in the maintenance of oil and gas exploration equipment
Suitably experienced in the use of SAP to prepare work orders and monitor material availability or willingness to train to SAP system
Knowledge of the modes of failure applicable to large industrial equipment such as fans, pumps and compressors and their associated components
Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments
The ability to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiors
