​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Electrician on behalf of our client based in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear.

Purpose of the post:

To carry out electrical day to day repairs, testing, maintenance and installation work to domestic and non-domestic properties as required by the client

Principal Accountabilities

  • To carry out repairs, maintenance, installation and testing works to the client domestic and non-domestic properties.

  • To carry out domestic and commercial electrical installation condition reporting

  • Complete minor elements of multi-skilling associated with the electrical work e.g. small filling/patching to decor

  • Complete minor plumbing work associated with the electrical work e.g. shower replacements

  • Be competent in the use of handheld IT systems (Hand Held Units)

  • Complete all necessary electronic certification as required by the Group in line with relevant British Standards and Regulatory bodies applicable to the work carried out.

  • Ensure all work carried out meets the minimum standards set by the current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (currently 18th Edition) and Gentoo Group.

  • Maintain the stock levels on the vehicle

  • Carry out all works in an efficient and timely manner

  • Liaise with Line Managers regarding the status of any and all work

  • Liaise and interface with other trades as required

  • Maintain a clean and tidy work place

  • Take responsibility and be accountable for your actions and behaviour

  • The Group operate an Emergency Out of Hours Service, which you may be required to work on a rota basis as and when required.


  • Experience of the Electrical Contracting industry.

  • Experience of the electrical installations in domestic and non-domestic properties.

Qualifications and Training

  • Be fully conversant and competent to carry out works in accordance with the current Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations/BS7671 plus all ongoing revisions thereto.

  • Served a recognised (Indentured) Electrical apprenticeship with City & Guilds 2361 part 1 & 2 or equivalent or NVQ Level 3

  • Desirable to hold City and Guilds 2391 or equivalent – Inspection and Testing Certificate

  • Full clean UK Driving License.
