​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced General Manager on behalf of our client based in Glasgow. This is a full time permanent role.

This is a key managerial role within my client's operation, and will be responsible for the day to day running of the company. We require a strong leader, with experience of leading multi-disciplinary blue-collar teams, meeting deadlines, managing change, and delivering projects within specification and budget.

You will be responsible for:

  • Marshalling, conducting and utilising the range of talents and expertise that exists across the current workforce whilst driving productivity, managing risk and growing profitability

  • To deliver these high level goals, you will be ultimately accountable for delivering the following through your wider team:

  • Scheduling, resourcing and budgeting, ensuring all deliverables and milestones for all projects are met

  • QA performance of company

  • HSE on the site and ensuring a safety-first culture is embedded in everything company does

  • Following HR policies and procedures including recruitment, on boarding, appraisals, bonus, salary reviews and off boarding

  • The budget, agreeing annual budget and reporting same to Board on monthly basis

  • Acting as Project Sponsor

  • Approving and owning the business case

  • Main escalation route for issues on projects

  • Monitoring progress and making control decisions

  • Meeting all legislative requirements for company operating in its field of expertise

  • Liaising with Group Finance on insurance matters and ensuring policies are up to date and relevant

  • The facility itself and ensuring it is fit for purpose and well stocked, including ensuring there is a suitable and secure IT system in place with the support of Group IT.

  • Promote and responsibly represent the Group stated mission and goals in all aspects of your professional life.
