​Superior Recruitment Group is looking for an experienced Group Head of Digital Product Management on a permanent staff basis for our client based in Dallas, USA.

Candidates based in Dallas, Houston, Austin or Portland would be desirable but not essential. Our client is happy to accept applications from candidates across the USA.


Key accountabilities are:

  • Creating, owning and “selling” the business case for the creation of enterprise level core services and platforms for Data & Analytics and securing buy-in across the divisions and functions.

  • Working closely with the digital development team on creating the strategy and road map for delivering Data & Analytics services and platforms

  • Selecting, engaging and working closely with internal and credible external partners to support the gathering of business requirements / creation of Product Backlog, the design development, delivery & ongoing support of selected Platforms tools and processes.

  • Helping drive the joint business / delivery teams to deliver enterprise capabilities for Data & Analytics projects using an Agile approach to define and prioritize key features from the product backlog.

  • Engaging with the relevant business, commercial and technical teams within the business to create and deliver credible services, platforms, guidelines and guardrails for Data & Analytics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation and adoption of the Core Data & Analytics solutions or platforms across the business and therefore supporting the ongoing digital transformation of the business.

  • Business and technical understanding that allows the appropriate decisions to be made regarding the Core Data & Analytics solutions or platforms

  • Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Business Unit Product Mgrs, Engineering and Customers to define Platform and Solution requirements and opportunities

  • Life cycle management of solutions and platforms – involves working and managing partners and stakeholders

  • Roadmap for core platform and solutions

  • Evolution of standards, guidelines and guardrails and ensuring that solutions and platforms are compliant

  • Core Platform market understanding of what is available and viable for client’s business and user needs

  • Define API Standards and requirements for Core Platform and solutions

  • Define requirements for client’s Data Structure to support core solutions

  • Analytics best practice and mentoring

  • Engage industry thought leaders that deliver best practices and outcomes

  • Support group wide awareness data and analytics program

  • Build and support data and analytics ‘Communities of Practice’

  • Identifying and building strong partner relationships

  • Identifying and building strong stakeholder relationships at strategic and operational levels.

  • Own the data and analytics product backlog and support Agile projects release schedules


Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer/Data Science or Business essential or equivalent industry experience gained in a similar role and at a similar level.

  • Technically capable, customer-first business leader that understands data science principles, software and data platform architecture, APIs, and deep learning.

  • Ideally, this leader will have a track record in the digital transformation of legacy processes, products, and services, as well as in developing new solutions and accompanying business models.

  • They will enjoy a reputation for developing meaningful partner and stakeholder relationships and is highly collaborative with a proven ability to work in highly matrixed cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in IoT in any sector a plus.

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies essential.

Given the matrix nature of the role, this leader must bring exceptional influencing skills and the ability to navigate a complex global company. In order to drive alignment and adoption of new digital capabilities based on a common platform, s/he must foster strong relationships with leaders across the client’s organization and be viewed as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor.

Recognizing and developing talent is key, as this leader will continually be forming and leading joint business / technology teams to deliver digital transformation projects.


Computer Skills

Has a passion for technology and keeping up to date on the technology trends. A highly capable technology user of the standard business systems and packages (Microsoft etc).

Work Environment

Home / Office based with potential for some international travel (dependent on current travel guidance) and flexibility to work non-standard hours on a regular basis due to the global nature of the role
