Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced HR Advisor on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. This is a full time permanent role.
Purpose
This job description details the requirements for the role of HR Advisor, reporting to the HR Manager.
Primary purpose of role
Working as part of a visionary, solution focussed and collaborative HR team to provide comprehensive, positive, pragmatic HR advice, support & responsibilities to all employees & assigned business sites. Develop and consistently demonstrate effective working relationships, enabling the delivery of the HR Delivery Plan, asset KPI’s and employee engagement.
Major duties
Work effectively and positively with employees, promoting understanding, compliance, and consistency. Delivering excellence throughout the employment lifecycle and HR systems, procedures & practices including Recruitment & selection design, development, and delivery. Learning, development, and competency. Policies and procedural development, guidance, and coaching around implementation Conduct & capability via performance management, discipline & grievance. Employee relations and engagement. Employee health & absence management. Supporting organisational change, growth, design, implementation, and maintenance. Supporting line managers through coaching to manage the people agenda At assigned units be the principal point of people contact on the above ensuring actions are completed in a thorough, consistent, accurate and timely manner. Support other colleagues in doing the same. Principal point of contact on designated HR matters, providing appropriate advice and solutions across the business. Remain up to date with industry knowledge, legislation, and best practice. Update other team members and employees as appropriate. Proactively contribute to delivering and communicating the HR Delivery Plan. Complete assigned HR administrative and project responsibilities including updating of records, note-taking, report writing and attendance at appropriate meetings and forums – internal and external. Drive a continuous improvement ethos through own actions and contributions, maintaining and improving service delivery. Deputise for other members of the team in agreed responsibilities. Positively present the role of HR Advisor & complete required training and continuing professional development activities to meet job role and business requirements and personal competency
Qualifications & Professional Accreditation
Essential –HR or business subject at level 3
Desirable -HR, psychology, or business degree. CIPD accredited. Coaching qualification
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Essential –Working in and delivering multi-site HR support and guidance at all business levels – in person, remotely, by email/phone. Delivering varied HR projects, goals and targets. Developing, advising and providing support on HR policies, procedures and systems, attendance, grievance, disciplinary, employee relations, engagement, performance, training and development. Recruitment and selection end to end process. Developing and maintaining effective workplace relationships at all business levels. HR and training administration and project work. Employment legislation
Desirable -Working in a 24/7 process or energy environment. Experience of Competency systems and processes both technical and behaviours Succession and people planning and talent management. Delivering continual improvement activities. Employee communication and branding
