Superior Recruitment Group are looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of our client based in Sunderland. This is a full time permanent role.
Due to our clients continuous growth, they have a full-time vacancy for an Trainee / Junior Electrical Design Engineer. This is a newly created position to complement the existing Engineering and Electrical design team.
The candidate will be able to interpret customer design specifications, produce well organised detailed drawings and schematics. Occasionally there may be other engineering activities to perform.
To qualify for the role, candidates must have most of the following:
Electrical engineering background.
An understanding of automotive sector would be a distinct advantage but not essential
Knowledge in the Electrical Design aspect of Bespoke assembly machinery would be preferred.
Knowledge in the Electrical Design aspect of Robotics and Jig Tooling would be an advantage.
Have knowledge of Fluid power systems
Experience of creating BOM and Layout diagrams.
Knowledge of Eplan P8 is essential
Knowledge of AutoCAD- (would be beneficial)
Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and associated standards
Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition
Understand / Develop and Produce, Health and Safety Design Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
Ensure systems designs are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
Able to work to BS EN 60204-1. BS EN 13849-1, BS EN 13850, BS EN 619 and other relevant standards
Good understanding of Industrial Networks i.e. Profinet, Profibus, DeviceNET, CC Link IE. AS-I
Produce electrical schematics according to IC 81346-1:2009
Project management, procurement, assistance to manufacture and production.

Monday - Thursday (8-4.30pm) and Friday (8-1.30pm)
