​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Materials Buyer on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. This is a fixed term contract for 4 - 6 months.

This role is responsible for purchasing, stock coordination and repairs within the client SAP system (UNISOL). This role will be working across multiple assets to provide support & focus where needed. The applicant should have a good understanding of, and experience of SAP Materials Management and supply processes. The ability to learn and work well in a team environment is required.

The applicant should be able to communicate effectively in internal meetings, with onshore discipline engineers and offshore teams, ensuring the operational needs of the assets are met as well as those within the Supply Chain department. This role is responsible for providing support to process requirements for direct purchase and stock replenishment, material returns (stock integrations/re-integrations), repair orders and backlog reduction.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Issue RFQ’s

  • Analyze and evaluate quotes and decide / recommend the most advantageous offer

  • Place good quality Purchase Orders which protect the client interests from a contractual standpoint

  • Expedite Materials to ensure on-time delivery

  • Review & process of New Material Requests (NMR) to reduce backlog

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Engage with Offshore Stores & Onshore warehouse personnel daily to ensure fast tracking of materials required on quick lead times.

  • Participate in the resolution of discrepancies when required from the Logistic entity

  • Invoice query resolution

  • Work to meet and exceed the target KPIs set by the client

Skills required:

  • Proficient SAP user

  • Working knowledge of supply chain processes, preferably with the oil & gas industry

  • Working knowledge of the procure to pay process

  • Working within client & company procedures

  • Safety mindset

  • Analytical skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload

  • Flexibility
