​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. This is a full time permanent role.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for delivery of day-to-day maintenance support for all related mechanical equipment types on the FPSO. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure that short and long-term maintenance activities are identified, prioritised, planned and executed.

Details/duties:

  • Provision of day-to-day mechanical engineering support for the FPSO

  • Maintenance of close links with Technical Authorities to ensure that system integrity is preserved

  • Ensuring that all planned work scopes are identified and included in short and long-term asset plans

  • Challenging maintenance activities and applying risk-based techniques to optimise maintenance activities and co-ordination

  • Compilation of work packs for offshore review and subsequent implementation

  • Liaison with Mechanical Supervisor and Field Engineer to resolve mechanical equipment problems

  • Coordination of vendor requirements to support mechanical equipment planned and corrective maintenance activities

  • Participation in RCA processes and investigations

  • Assist in performance of equipment maintenance and spares reviews.

  • Ensuring satisfactory close out of all actions identified in all work scopes

  • Preparation of regular report requirements by due dates and specific reports by the agreed date

  • Preparation and management of delegated cost centre budgets

  • Proactive in supporting and promoting HS&E processes and requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of CMMS (UNISOL) SAP

  • Regular liaison with key stakeholders to review and update mechanical maintenance content in SAP

  • Raising of work orders and service orders in UNISOL SAP

  • Initiation Management of Change work scopes developed through the maintenance process

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Proven oil & gas industry experience in a similar position

  • BSC Engineering discipline

  • SAP user

  • Experience in leading maintenance activities

  • Significant experience in rotating, static and FPSO operational maintenance equipment

  • Stakeholder, budget, and maintenance/project planning management experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Team working, building, and maintaining effective relationships

  • HSE & Quality awareness
