​Superior Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Operations Supervisor to join our client in Northampton. This is a full time permanent role.

The Role

  • Promote and co-ordinate Integrity Management (IM) implementation.

  • To promote positive Health and Safety behaviours and attitudes throughout all aspects of the Terminal Storage.

  • Ensure legal compliance with regulatory authorities.

  • Site Authorization Officer for our client’s Safe Work Practices process.

  • Promote our client’s SHE policies including Company Life Saving Rules

  • Application the Limited Health & Safety Policy and Management Standards with regards to Company Life Saving Rules.

  • Operate the safe handling and storage of substances. (ADR, COMAH) and promote understanding to Team.

  • Develop Terminal off site and on-site Emergency Response.

  • Ensure the safe condition and operation of plant and equipment liaising with the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Develop Industry link with the Emergency Planning Officer.

  • Initiate and Plan Fire and Evacuation exercises and First Aid Exercises.

  • Investigate all incidents using Root Cause Analysis process with support of the SHE team.

  • Maintain our client’s Limited Security Policy and Procedures and Terminal Security Plan.

  • Ensure plant, equipment and inventory security is maintained.

  • Perform Security Audits in line with Group Policy.

  • Perform Emergency Exercises with respect to Security, Bomb Threat and search.

  • Liaise with the Contracted Security Company

  • Promote a level of leadership to all aspects of Terminal operations and performance management.

  • Receipt of fuels and additives into storage tanks, Storage of fuels and additives in tanks and containers, Loading of fuels into tanker vehicles.

  • Application of business strategy "Customer Focus & Performance driven" to all aspects of Terminal Operations.

  • Challenge Activities through Operational Excellence process.

  • Ensure stock accounting deadlines and systems are maintained.

  • Engagement with Operational workforce and contractors to ensure safety, efficiency and availability of plant and equipment.

  • Oversee and audit the site control of works working with the SHE Team.

  • Maintain Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

  • Deputies for the Terminal Manager in their absence.

The Person

  • Must have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent certificate in a Health & Safety discipline.

  • Must have knowledge of implementing & evaluating systems, upgrades, improvements & modifications.

  • Must have fault diagnosis & problem-solving experience.

  • Be able to work individually & leading teams to achieve business targets.

  • Should have commercial awareness of the energy market- key players, legislation & regulations.
