​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Permit Co-ordinator on behalf of our client based in Cumbria. This is a full time permanent role.

Primary purpose of role:

It is the responsibility of the Permit Co-Ordinator to act as a key member of the Operations Department, providing consistency of approach, understanding and actions between Operations and E&M to facilitate the production of Safety Documentation.

Responsible for the effective planning, delivery, control and communication to enable Safety Document production.

In line with SHE, business, budgetary, quality & legislative requirements, organise the production of Safety Documents for work.

Major duties:

  • To contribute to the development, leadership & delivery of the Operational strategy and KPI’s

  • To achieve this by acting as a link person between Operations and E&M personnel, driving consistency of response and continuity of approach

  • Drive and actively contribute to the effective and consistent management of the work control process at the site, from an Operation’s and E&M perspective

  • Discuss, agree, and communicate the timing of plant release for maintenance, factoring in known plant defects and conditions

  • To be recognised as a focal point in providing professional knowledge and advice on the work control process

  • As required, act as a key support person to the duty Shift Manager, on both a day-to-day basis and in times of plant upset or incident

  • To be fully conversant with safe working procedures and all site operating and emergency procedures, operating instructions and to have a working knowledge of COMAH regulations. To be conversant with site Major Accident Hazards (MAH) and procedures

  • To look for improvements actively and continuously in both the Plant & Business processes, policies, and procedures. To achieve these by identifying any impacts or conflicts at the earliest opportunity & by remaining up to date with industry knowledge, legislation, trends, key organisations, and best practice

  • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with other personnel, within the Operations and E&M Department. To extend this to all site customers, visitors and external relationships including industry and professional forum representation and local community groups

  • To be fully conversant with Safe Working Procedures and following relevant training, achieve and maintain Senior Authorised Person Status, including Low Voltage authorisation. Following relevant High Voltage training to be authorised to undertake High Voltage isolations and switching activities on site
