​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Pipefitter on behalf of our client based in Renfrew. This is a full time permanent role.

Job Summary

Are you looking for a role that will test and challenge your pipefitting skills? Our client is looking for a candidate who enjoys working with complex systems and is able to run projects to include prefab in the workshop and site install both in Scotland and on a Global scale. Responsibilities include preparing piping cutting lists, assembling, and installing pipes for any works carried out and even welding and fabrication projects should you have these skill sets. Role and Responsibilities

  • Ability to work with complex piping systems

  • Interpret engineering drawings and understand scope of works

  • Inspect and prepare sites for operations

  • Produce piping cutting lists

  • Install and secure pipes

  • Ensure all projects regardless of location are carried out safely and to a high standard.

  • Bolt / torque flanges

  • Working both in fabrication workshop, and on site as and when required.

  • Promote good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.

  • Undergo training programs where necessary

  • Ensure timesheets are filled in correctly as shown and be punctual.

  • Extensive knowledge of oil and gas/marine and structural welding/fabrication works and standards.

Personal qualities, aptitudes, and skills

  • Time served pipefitter

  • Welding/Fabrication experience preferred

  • Ability to calculate rolling offsets – desired

  • Competent hydro tester - desired

  • Ability to produce own cutting lists

  • Experience in pipe bending

  • Read and interpret drawings, ISO schematics and installation drawings

  • Attention to detail

  • Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative

  • Has a desire to learn and develop within the role

  • Flexible – able to comply with company and client requirements

  • Act with honesty, integrity and accountability

  • Ability to work well in a team

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • An NC/HNC in pipefitting preferred or ECITB certified pipefitter

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the above role.

  • Carbon and Stainless-Steel Pipe welding knowledge

  • Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role.

  • CSCS Card

Physical Demands

This role is physically demanding. You may be required to work in every kind of weather on site and offshore. We will also require confined space and working at heights in this role.
