Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Principal Piping Designer on behalf of our client based in Stockton on Tees. This is a full time permanent role.
Purpose:
This job description details the requirements for the role of Principal Piping Designer, reporting directly to the Discipline Manager – Piping.
Primary purpose of role:
It is the responsibility of the Principal Piping Designer to provide delivery of defined engineering tasks for different projects to the highest standards complying with legal obligations and client requirements. In addition, the role involves supporting the development of proposals for new business opportunities, provision of consultancy services and project management. To provide professional engineering support to the project teams both in the UK and overseas to deliver innovative engineering solutions to clients in a manner consistent with their requirements.
Major duties:
Provide technical expertise for the specification, design, purchase, installation and commissioning within discipline area of expertise
Provide on-going technical support to operations and maintenance departments for problems within engineering discipline
Produce, review and understand associated documentation relating to the design, installation and operation within discipline area
Assist in developing solutions to technical issues, budget considerations, project schedules and safety with a project in support of project objectives
Assist in providing functional design specifications and/or datasheets for all items of equipment within discipline area, ensuring compliance with company procedures and all relevant standards
Develop and implement engineering procedures, work instructions, standards and guidance documents as applicable
Support the development of proposal and delivery for new business opportunities, including due diligence, consultancy and site mobilisation
Manage improvement/change with projects
