​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Production Administrator on behalf of our client based in Consett. This is a full time staff position.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this is an administrative role supporting various departments, including production and engineering. The main tasks of the job will be to create BOMs on the company’s ERP system and to help manage the administration side of engineering projects, from the beginning to the end of the process.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have worked in a manufacturing company, preferably engineering, with an understanding of ERP systems, bills of materials, planning systems and all associated engineering processes. You will be expected to suggest improvements and streamline tasks where appropriate.

Main responsibilities:

  • Inputting Bill of Materials (BOM) from Excel spreadsheet to ERP system, accurately and on time

  • Helping to run the capacity planner to support the Production Manager.

  • Preparing customer reports.

  • Arranging transport with customers and suppliers

  • Raising delivery notes.

  • Working closely with other departments, e.g. Purchasing, Estimating, Production.

  • Other general admin when required.

Person Specification

  • Experience of ERP systems

  • Engineering/Technical Background

  • Flexible – able to implement change and suggest areas of improvement

  • Fully conversant with MS Office, particularly Excel.

  • Honest, reliable and punctual

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday 7.30am to 4pm Friday - 7:30-12:30
