Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Project Engineer on behalf of our client based in Glasgow. This is a full time position, initially for 12 months with a view to become permanent.
The Project Engineer acts as right-hand man to Project Manager and assists in managing daily activities on assigned projects as well as interfacing with Engineering, Procurement, Workshop etc in preparing for near term upcoming work. This position will be moderately supervised by the relevant Project Manager(s) but the job holder will be expected to be a self-starter and capable of sorting own priorities and activities in line with project needs.
Liaise with other functions to ensure project needs are being met on schedule and to specified requirements
Expedite and resolve supplier queries in support of Procurement to ensure project needs are met
Preparation of project documentation, e.g. procedures, build and test plans, delivery documentation and etc.
Trouble shoot issues arising through procurement, build & test phases to mitigate delivery and cost impacts
Act as deputy to Project Manager in their responsibilities and tasks
Take responsibility for assigned work packs and develop appropriate plans to execute them
Client liaison through the project phase in support of project needs
Any other duties as may be required from time to time and as assigned by Project Manager(s)
Raise Purchase Requisitions highlighting technical specification, need dates and terms for Procurement to raise PO’s
Assist Project Manager in preparation of weekly and monthly reports for internal and client use
Update the project program in support of and as guided by the Project Manager
