Superior Recruitment Group are looking for a Project Manager on behalf of our client based in Sunderland. This is a permanent role.
A industrial controls and automation systems integrator. We operate at various customer sites across the UK and Europe. Due to continuous growth and ever-increasing demand, we have a full-time vacancy for a Project Manager
This role is to manage the allocated projects and plan the delivery of orders to customers, to liaise with those customers, update and communicate plans internally, agree deviations and contingencies, map out solutions to deal with those, and be the conduit to delivering the end result.
Key Requirements and Main tasks
Awareness of the technical requirements of the orders
Plan the end-to-end delivery
Planning and forecasting resource
Assessing impact and producing and amending timing plans based on developments within jobs and the acquisition of new orders
Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Work with Engineers to anticipate changes to time plans and to discuss impact of events on resources with senior team
Co-ordinate with client, engineer, production manager and buyer
Support decision making on shifting priorities as matters develop
Maintain a set of documentation which fits with the systems of control for the business
Attend and input to any update or review meetings as required
Escalate emerging issues appropriately, to the right person/group of people at right time.
Support and enable the successful delivery of jobs to time, quality and budget, adjusting for circumstances on the way
Knowledge and Skills
Good educational qualifications
5 years’ experience in similar role
Systems of control and ability to use IT and equipment efficiently
Prince 2 or equivalent project management
Organisational skills with agility to flex and change agreed priorities
Can work in and on behalf of a team, representing their interests
Has experience of communication at a senior level inside and outside an organisation, delivering good and bad news
Good analytical and problem-solving skills

The role holder will have a direct influence on the Planning of priorities including shifting resource to meet deadlines, or rearranging priorities to meet shifting demands, in conjunction with Engineers. Strong influencer who can match the needs of customers with the ability of the business to deliver those to time, budget and quality.

Ideally located within 30 miles of Sunderland, Tyne & Wear
Hours of work - The current office hours are Monday - Thursday (8-4.30pm) Friday (8-1.30pm)
