​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Pump Fitter/Mechanical Fitter. This is a hybrid role working both in Aberdeen and offshore in the North Sea.

Job Summary

This role is a hybrid one, consisting of working 20-30 weeks year offshore with the remainder of the time working on pump repairs within our client's new Dyce Service Centre.   Offshore, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of rotating equipment and pumps, mainly in the North Sea.  When in the Aberdeen workshop, you will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair and re-assembly of various rotating pieces of equipment, primarily pumps.  Ideally from a service background, you will be a time served engineer with a proven track record in the rotating equipment industry.

Person Specification

  • Hold a current offshore medical certificate.

  • Hold current BOSIET certification

  • Demonstrate an excellent attitude regarding HSE and quality assurance.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • First class communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to prepare customer technical reports to a high standard

  • To ensure safe working practices are adhered to

  • Produce work to the highest standard to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Work within industry standards as per company procedures.

  • Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.

  • To take part in specialist or multi-disciplinary team activities.

  • To behave in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues either on-site or during off-site duties.

  • Hours: Onshore in workshop – 37 hours per week. Offshore hours usually 12 hours per day

  • Overtime rate applicable: 1.33 midweek 1.66 weekend

  • Pension: 3% Company contribution
