​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for our client based in Washington, UK. This is a full time staff role.

Purpose of the Role:

An integral member of the Quality Assurance Team with the day-to-day responsibility of customer and supplier quality assurance with the following key responsibilities:

  • Communication of Customer Quality expectations, Quality Standards and Requirements throughout the company

  • New product Introduction

  • Supplier Management

  • Identification of applicable product quality control methods, measurement systems and their analysis

  • Developing quality standards/instructions

  • Internal auditing

  • Drive Continuous Improvement throughout the Company

  • Quality Management Systems audits

  • Manufacturing process audits

  • Customer Concerns management

  • Supplier Management

  • New Product Introduction

  • Managing Quarantine stocks

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, including Containment rework Instructions, Packaging Instructions, Visual Aids, etc.)

  • Manage measuring equipment

  • Other administrative duties

Experience, Qualifications & Technical Competencies

  • Understand the requirements of ISO 9001 & IATF16949 Quality Management Systems

  • Good knowledge of Quality tools(APQP / PPAP, FMEA / Control Plan, MSA / Calibration, SPC)

  • Problem Solving techniques - Use of root cause investigation tools such as 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, etc

  • Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Internal Auditing

  • Qualified to HND Level with good GCSE and A Level grades

  • Experience in Automotive Industry is essential / in steel industry is desirable.

  • Experience of flat steel products and /or manufacturing processes and systems would be an advantage

  • Car Driver
