Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for our client based in Washington, UK. This is a full time staff role.
Purpose of the Role:
An integral member of the Quality Assurance Team with the day-to-day responsibility of customer and supplier quality assurance with the following key responsibilities:
Communication of Customer Quality expectations, Quality Standards and Requirements throughout the company
New product Introduction
Identification of applicable product quality control methods, measurement systems and their analysis
Developing quality standards/instructions
Drive Continuous Improvement throughout the Company
Quality Management Systems audits
Manufacturing process audits
Customer Concerns management
New Product Introduction
Managing Quarantine stocks
Develop Standard Operating Procedures, including Containment rework Instructions, Packaging Instructions, Visual Aids, etc.)
Manage measuring equipment
Other administrative duties

Experience, Qualifications & Technical Competencies
Understand the requirements of ISO 9001 & IATF16949 Quality Management Systems
Good knowledge of Quality tools(APQP / PPAP, FMEA / Control Plan, MSA / Calibration, SPC)
Problem Solving techniques - Use of root cause investigation tools such as 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, etc
Good IT skills using Microsoft packages Word, Excel and Outlook
Qualified to HND Level with good GCSE and A Level grades
Experience in Automotive Industry is essential / in steel industry is desirable.
Experience of flat steel products and /or manufacturing processes and systems would be an advantage
