Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client based in Glasgow. This is a permanent full time role.
The role of Quantity Surveyor is a new role and will play a key part in delivering continued growth and success to our client. The role will be client facing so is suited to a person who is astute commercially, has excellent interpersonal skills and has previous experience in this area.
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparation of tender and contract documentation, performing cost monitoring and management during project execution to ensure large scale complex fabrication and construction works are delivered successfully to budget.
Through life successful commercial delivery of large scale, complex fabrication works.
Requirement to engage with various internal stakeholders to prepare tender responses to client.
Negotiate commercial contracts with third party client in line with internal delegation of authority matrix.
Work with the production teams to perform cost analysis and costs reforecasts to in order to minimise cost and maximise return.
Liaise with the project team to identify change events, take ownership of the change events and manage them through to agreement with the client, providing all necessary back up and supporting information.
Development and implementation of KPI’s to assist measurement of productivity and earned value.
Provide dashboard reports to senior management.
Preparation and submission of monthly valuations to client.
Preparation and management of project cash flows to ensure this remains cash positive.
Being the primary commercial point of contact with the client
RICS qualified is preferable
Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in Quantity Surveyor roles
