​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Regional Logistics Coordinator on behalf of our client based in California, USA. This is a full time staff position.

Reporting to the Regional Director, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day logistics functions and the coordination of services in relation to customer requirements including the allocation of work orders, logistics, reporting and customer interface.

The Regional Logistics Coordinator leads and works alongside the Logistics team to assist in the professional delivery of a range of internal and external projects across all our client's service lines in the region, and is a partner to the Technical Operations VPs, as well as the Sales and Marketing, and Finance teams to maximize the delivery of service levels within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard customer satisfaction, provide customer feedback received and suggest improvements where necessary.

  • Keep track of day-to-day workload/planning of Logistics department team personnel.

  • Master all aspects/working methods of the work in the department.

  • Monitor quality standards and workflow. Initiate adjustments where necessary.

  • Signal and seek solutions for problems (in team or with other departments/divisions).

  • Provide training for new personnel in relevant working methods.

  • Monitor quality of services provided by internal and external suppliers and take corrective actions where necessary.

  • Conduct function assessments and appraisals with team members.

  • Contract negotiations with travel agency, training suppliers

  • Appropriate and timely assignment of personnel to projects in close consultation with VP.

  • Function as our client's Quality representative to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 QMS.

  • Conduct quarterly, and annual OSHA reporting.

  • Communicate with other departments/divisions/suppliers to coordinate the process

  • Maintain field personnel data and certification in relevant internal and external systems.

  • Arrange training, medicals etc. for field personnel.

  • Ensure that the confidentiality of sensitive information, files and operational documents is maintained.

  • Maintain diligent awareness of changing travel, and entry restrictions for areas our client operates in.

  • Coordinate activities (including all travel) throughout customer/client portfolio to ensure effective service delivery.

  • Support Technical Operations VPs to ensure that division personnel planner is kept up to date.

  • Respond to employee and customer requests/enquires promptly and ensure the applicable action is taken to address any issues raised in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all vendor and field personnel invoices are collected and provided to Finance team in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Evening and weekend duty on rotation

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge

  • 3 – 5 years in a comparable role

  • Flexible attitude, sets priorities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Performs well under stressful situations

  • Available outside office hours (rotational evening, and weekend duty)

  • Ability to perform in a high-paced environment

  • Logical, analytical thinking ability

  • Able to keep good overview, links information

  • Delegator with good management and coaching skills

  • Puts team performance before personal success

  • Above average MS Office skills in Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Good knowledge of the English language

  • Internationally orientated with cultural sensitivity

  • Have empathy with our employees / consultants in the field
