​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Regional Manager on behalf of our client based in Stockton-on-Tees. Please note that travel to our client's other sites may be required occasionally. This is a full time permanent role.

Purpose

  • To lead, manage and grow the North of England Branch of currently 20 staff with a significant focus on expansion and securing new opportunities both through organic growth and new business development.

  • To ensure strong and continually improving performance against all Key Performance Indicators, including HSEQ, Sales, Margin and Profitability targets.

  • To provide processes which are fully developed, robust and regularly reviewed in order to deliver the highest standards of safety, quality and service in accordance with our client's objectives and company core values.

  • To work with the Business Development team to create strategic market approach to grow in existing markets as well as diversify into emerging markets such as Hydrogen & CCUS.

Responsibilities

  • To truly ‘lead’ the client's team in the North of England to achieve significant growth and further development.

  • To ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Branch in order to satisfy both existing and new customer requirements and to achieve (and strive to exceed) the revenue and profit targets set.

  • To lead and participate in strategy reviews, internal and external audits, budgeting and inventory management processes.

  • To conduct regular reviews of Branch effectiveness and implement actions to target and achieve growth and improvement of services.

  • Provision of regular reports and updates to Senior Management on the status of the Branch’s key performance indicators, ensuring consideration given to the impact of performance on other areas within the company and at all times working as a team to resolve and address matters at an early stage and provide action plans to address, as required.

  • To coach, mentor and challenge the North of England Management Team to excel and continually grow their departments, both from a revenue and process efficiency and effectiveness standpoint.

  • To establish and cement strong relationships at all levels across the Group.

  • To collaborate with key managers throughout the organisation in pursuit of the Group’s overall objectives regarding continuous improvement, exemplary performance and the achievement of the highest standards, ensuring a flawless end to end execution from order to delivery for the customer.

  • To ‘champion’ the client's Core Values and actively promote communication and information sharing as a matter of course in day to day work.

  • To operate a ‘team’ focussed work environment conducive to high levels of employee engagement and robust performance management and employee development practices, ensuring staff know what is expected of them and are motivated to perform and deliver for the company and their own personal development within the company.

  • To ensure full compliance at all times with prevailing legislation and quality standards.

  • To keep updated with industry ‘best practice’ and to use this to drive continuous improvement and increased levels of performance.

Experience and Key Attributes

  • Several year’s experience at a Senior Management level having held a similar role as General Manager or being at a stage where ready to move into this level of role.

  • A demonstrable and strong track record of achievement within General Management/Business Development and ideally from a broader managerial perspective.

  • Strong commercial/strategic focus with the ability to see the ‘big picture’ but also to get involved in a ‘hands on’ capacity, if and as required as needed.

  • Tenacity to deliver and succeed as part of a team, engaging direct reports and all staff under area of control in such a way as to gain their trust and ‘buy in’ on initiatives and changes to ensure the Branch succeeds as a whole.

  • Exemplary leadership qualities and characteristics with the means to ensure the achievement of the stated purpose and overall responsibilities of the role whilst promoting and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Excellent communication, planning, organisational and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work under own initiative and be self-driven and committed.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and build rapport with other managers and Directors
