​Superior Recruitment Group are looking for a Sales and Administrative Representative on behalf of our client based in North Shields. This is a full time staff position.

The main purpose of the Sales and Administration Representative is to support our client's Trade Counter and Inhouse Sales Teams. You will be confident in using your own initiative, able to cope with competing demands and prioritise tasks effectively, relishing the challenges of a busy and varied working environment with high activity levels.

The Role

Customer Service

  • You will learn our client's products and manufacturing methods to manage the sales cycle effectively (and leads) from customers who make enquires or place orders in person within the trade counter and also by email, on-line and by telephone as required.

  • Promoting the Company brand, products, services, and solutions to prospective customers face to face, via the telephone and other channels.

Order Management

  • You will sell goods in person within the trade counter and create quotations and process orders placed in person, by email, on-line or by telephone.

  • You will ensure all orders are processed appropriately from start to the point of dispatch through organised and accurate administration and filing.

  • You will set up and administer appropriate discounts where applicable.

  • You will make telephone calls to obtain leads and sales.


  • You will complete general and sales administration as required.

  • Handling customer data and their payments within GDPR guidance and legislation.

  • Exceptional housekeeping to ensure efficiency within all of your duties.

  • You will be the ERP super user for the Trade Counter

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years sales experience is essential. Some face to face sales experience is desirable as the role will work predominantly within our Trade Counter.

  • Strong administration experience and technical skills, including experience of computer packages such as an ERP Software (SAPB1 or similar).

  • Dependable; able to support and develop the Sales Department (Trade Counter and Inhouse)

  • Impeccable communication and customer service skills.

  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.

  • Driven with the desire to develop and succeed.

  • Teamwork and attention to detail.

  • Ability to keep calm under pressure.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and generally IT literate when using other software and databases.
