Superior Recruitment Group are looking for an experienced Service Manager on behalf of our client based in Glasgow. This is a full time staff position.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for our Services and Profit and Loss
Overall responsibility for performance delivery to existing customers within the sectors.
Develop strong customer relationships, ensure customer requirements and performance expectations are delivered
Support continued growth of new and existing client base in conjunction with technical sales .
Deliver forecast/sales pipeline workload.
Set budgets for all site based works inclusive of flights, accommodation and expenses based on client agreement
Contribute and participate in the extension of development of services/Strategy development
Manage Spares and Service job costings and report
In conjunction with Finance oversee Cash flow for S&S projects
Lead/delegate the key proposals/tender execution.
Manage customer contract performance.
Report business plan activities monthly/quarterly as required.
Take a lead role to increase technical competency within the BU
Reviewing output from service department inclusive of documentation.
Ensuring operatives adhere to company HSEQ guidance and procedures for the safe execution of work scopes
Safety culture leadership implementation and proactive management of safety performance.
Develop direct report staff, their roles and competency.
Develop, review and approve work packs, method statements, risk assessments
Ensuring competency on recruitment of trainees and technicians
Conduct competency assessments and develop PDP for trainees and technicians
Input into tenders and bids to ensure technical compliance is achieved
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Previous experience in Management or Supervisory role with line/business management responsibility.
Previous experience at Technician/Engineer level in line with company’s Competence matrix.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in medium-to-heavy engineering and operations.
Good reporting skills
Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Good leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of contracts, commercial and finance processes
Degree qualified, HNC-HND, ONC
Mechanical handling experience
Project management and engineering
Minimum Professional, Academic or Other Qualifications
City and Guilds, ONC, HNC in engineering discipline or equivalent courses
Financial performance/management awareness
Member of accredited engineering body
Engineering Apprenticeship.
Degree in Engineering discipline Tools and Technology Essential Desirable
Competency in Microsoft Applications, ie Word, Excel, Outlook
User experience of data management systems/databases
MRP/ERP systems, particularly Sage 200
